I have been in the mortgage business since 1989, starting in hard money, where I also originated commercial, land, construction, church and income property loans. In 1990 I expanded into residential subprime lending and was well into "A" paper or prime residential loans by the time of the 1992-1993 refinance boom. I have been a mortgage broker since 1994 in San Diego County and expanded my services to the rest of California in 1997. I enjoy staying on top of which "A" lenders have the more aggressive rates and pricing but especially enjoy subprime and hard money loans as they tend to be more challenging.
